If you are reading this article, it’s probably because you are searching for the best lavalier mic to live stream.
At Narative, we had the opportunity to try a lot of lavalier mics available on the market, and if we had to suggest one and only reference, it would be the Rode Wireless Go 2!
It isn’t only a lavalier mic actually, it’s a kit that contains 2 wireless mics and a receiver.
And the true strength of this kit is its easy use, because just by turning them on they will automatically connect.
You will then not need to pair them by setting up a frequency like it’s the case on traditional wireless kits.
If you don’t want to see these little cubes, you can plug a classic lavalier mic, like a Rode Lavalier for example.
If you are using an iPhone, the jack cable included in the kit isn’t the one that you need.
In fact, the base 3.5mm jack cable is made with two parts in TRS.
What you need to make it work with the iPhone is a 3.5 jack cable with a TRS tip and another tip in TRRS.
Here is an example of a 3.5mm jack cable with the right tips.
You will also need a USB-C to Headphone Jack Adapter in order to plug your jack cable to your iPhone.
For the Rode Wireless Go 2, you can find them between 250€ and 300€ depending on the site that you’ll choose.
That represents an important investment but don’t forget that the sound is not a point to ignore, it is even more important than the video.
